Big Talk nominated for Edinburgh TV Awards Production Company of the Year

The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 23 August 2018.

Big Talk Productions has been nominated for Production Company of the Year at the Edinburgh TV Awards, in a category that recognises indies ‘that could be a specialist at the top of their game or a company that has produced a range of top-quality content for a number of different channels‘.

Nominated in a year where its output included Simon Blackwell’s Back (Channel 4) starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb, Bliss (Sky One), Diana & I (BBC Two), Living the Dream (Sky One), Timewasters (ITV2), a seventh series of the much-loved Cold Feet (ITV) by Mike Bullen, a fifth series of Friday Night Dinner (Channel 4) by Robert Popper and a second series of Stefan Golaszewski’s BAFTA-winning Mum (BBC Two), Big Talk was nominated alongside CPL Productions, ITN Productions, Kudos, Studio Lambert and World Productions.

Also nominated was Daniel Lawrence Taylor, who starred in, created and co-wrote Timewasters. Daniel is up for Best Breakthrough Talent.

The winners, chosen by a carefully selected jury for each category, will be announced on Thursday 23 August 2018 at a ceremony to be held at the EICC as part of the Edinburgh TV Festival.
