BBC2 was blessed with nearly a million extra viewers last night and beat the ITV News at Ten, as people put their faith in new religious comedy Rev.
The Big Talk Productions show, staring Tom Hollander as Reverend Adam Smallbone, reached out to 2.19m (10.7%) on BBC2 and 49,700 (0.24%) on BBC HD from 10pm to 10.30pm, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.
Rev, which explores Smallbone’s moral conflicts in his East London parish, was well above BBC2’s slot average of 1.4m (6.77%) for the year so far. [more...]
