The writer of the acclaimed series was nominated in the Writer: Comedy category.
Big Talk Productions has seen a BAFTA TV Craft win for Stefan Golaszewski, writer of Mum, at the ceremony in London last night.
Golaszewski, who previously received a BAFTA for producing Him & Her: The Wedding, was nominated in the ‘Writer: Comedy’ category, while Phoebe Waller-Bridge was also nominated in the ‘Breakthrough Talent’ category for writing and creating ‘Crashing’ for Big Talk and Channel 4 and ‘Fleabag’ for Two Brothers Pictures and BBC Three.
Next month will see Lesley Manville, star of ‘Mum’, up for ‘Female Performance in a Comedy Programme’ at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards, which will be presented in a ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 14th May.
‘Mum’, which was described as a ‘subtle masterpiece’ by The Times, stars Lesley Manville, Peter Mullan, Sam Swainsbury, Lisa McGrillis, Ross Boatman, Dorothy Atkinson, Marlene Sidaway and Karl Johnson. The comedy reunited the creative team behind the BAFTA award-winning sitcom for BBC Three’s Him & Her and aired in May 2016, shortly before being recommissioned for a second series.
