Lara Singer

Lara has spent the last eight years working in development and production across comedy radio, television and film, previously working for BBC development, BBC Radio 1, Kudos Film and TV, Origin Pictures, Tempesta Film and ARG at Avalon TV.

Alongside her development work she has produced and directed short films with BAFTA-nominated talent. Lara has a keen interest in supporting new talent and is on the judging panel for writing programmes, working with both LOCO Film Festival, CTBF, The Smalls Film Festival and on the jury for BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing 2018, in addition to being asked to join the established BANFF World Media Jury 2019 in Canada. Lara also helped set up and manage a storytelling charity for schools across London and the Betty and Peter scriptwriting programme.

Most recently Lara has developed and produced Just a Couple, an award-winning comedy-drama series for BBC Three and Bounty, a comedy Blap for Channel 4. In addition to these, she helped develop the BAFTA-nominated ITV2 comedy Timewasters, critically-acclaimed series Back for Channel 4, comedy-drama Defending the Guilty for BBC Two and Sky pilot Peacock.
