Rev. nominated for both a South Bank Award and a Broadcast Award

Rev. has been nominated for for the comedy award at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards 2011.

The awards are one of the world’s most coveted arts awards, celebrating the best of British culture and achievement across visual art, theatre, opera, dance, comedy, classical music, pop, TV drama, literature and film. 2011 will see them arrive on Sky for the first time, hosted once again by Melvyn Bragg.

The comedy award, notoriously one of the most competitive categories, sees a series available only online nominated for the first time. Steve Coogan has resurrected TV favourite Alan Partridge at www.fostersfunny.co.uk, which will compete against the BBC Four series Getting On, written by and starring Jo Brand, Vicki Pepperdine and Joanna Scanlan and directed by Peter Capaldi, and BBC Two’s Rev, starring Tom Hollander.
