Brand new sitcom Mum starts next Friday 13th May at 10pm on BBC Two

Mum, a new sitcom created and written by Stefan Golaszewski, comes to BBC Two next Friday.

From the BAFTA-winning team behind BBC Two’s HIM & HER comes a brand new sitcom starring Lesley Manville and Peter Mullan.

MUM is a family sitcom seen through the eyes of Cathy. We follow a year in her life as she moves on from the death of her husband. Starting with the family gathering for the funeral in January and ending on New Year’s Eve, we watch them through the major and minor events of a year. It’s the story of a woman finding who she is again and maybe, if she could only see it, finding love second time around.

The show stars Lesley Manville, Peter Mullan, Sam Swainsbury, Lisa McGrillis, Ross Boatman, Dorothy Atkinson, Karl Johnson and Marlene Sideway. It is created and written by Stefan Golaszewski, directed by Richard Laxton and produced by Lyndsay Robinson for Big Talk Productions. Kenton Allen, Matthew Justice and Stefan Golaszewski serve as executive producers.

MUM starts next Friday, 13th May at 10pm on BBC Two.
