After graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Film & Television Studies, Musanna moved to Barcelona for a year to undertake a filmmaking traineeship at OTOXO Productions and co-directed the independent documentary Borders and Promises.
Musanna subsequently established a freelance writing career, contributing film & TV reviews and interviews with filmmakers such as Matthew Heineman and Minhal Baig to various publications in print and online. His bylines include Film Inquiry and Total Film magazine. He was also selected as one of the Barbican Centre’s Young Film Programmers to curate, market and deliver the 2021 edition of the Chronic Youth Film Festival, which included previews of globally acclaimed films such as Acasa, My Home and You Will Die at Twenty.
Musanna joined Big Talk as a Runner/Office Administrator in 2021 and can be found exploiting his Odeon Limitless membership on most evenings.
