Also launching in 2024 is Dinner with the Parents, the US remake of Big Talk’s Friday Night Dinner (one of Channel 4’s most successful comedies ever). This 10 x 30’ series, a co-production with CBS Studios for Amazon Freevee, transplants the chaotic, idiosyncratic family dynamics of the original to American suburbia and stars top US comedy talent Dan Bakkedahl (Veep, The Mindy Project) and Michaela Watkins (Casual, The Dropout) and Carol Kane (Taxi, The Princess Bride).
Other recent productions include a 90’ movie of apocalyptic alien comedy, We Are Not Alone created by Ghosts co-creators Larry Rickard and Ben Willbond for UKTV channel Dave; two series of BAFTA-nominated Timewasters for ITV; the conclusion of Stefan Golaszewski’s critically lauded and BAFTA award-winning comedy Mum starring Lesley Manville for BBC Two; and two series of Back, the “world class” (The Guardian) dark comedy starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb and created by Simon Blackwell for Channel 4.
